Trial
This is a prototype for a minigame simulating courtroom trial.
It can be played in players vs player, player vs CPU or you can spectate it in CPU vs CPU. Use Game Setup panel on the right to adjust the game, start it and restart it.
Rules are simple. Colored rectangles are arguments. Each argument has two ends, with same or different colors. There are 3 types of argument ends: aggressive, rational and compassionate.
Arguments are played by dragging them from your grid to arguments field. Once there, they can not be moved. Sequence of argument looks like this (pa - plaintiff argument, da - defendant argument):
2 pa, 2 da, 2 pa, 2 da, 1pa, 1 da
Scoring:
- Whenever you connect the end of your first argument in sequence with beginning of your second argument in sequence, you score 1 for argument coherency.
- Whenever beginning of your opponents first argument in a sequence doesn't match end of your last argument in a sequence, you score for Unchallenged arguments.
Outside of that, arguments work like rock paper scissors. Your score increases for positive difference of :
- your aggressive vs opponents rational arguments,
- your rational vs opponents compassionate,
- your compassionate vs opponents aggressive arguments.
Oratory skill determines number of arguments you have available.
You can let the AI play few rounds against itself in order to get the sense of the game.
Any feedback is welcome, and thanks for playing!
